I have always been a huge fan of Music and good sounding stereo equipment since I was in grade school. My first serious stereo set up was an all in one Zenith Console my grandmother gave to me when I was 13. it was incredible sounding!
In 1983 I bought my first seperate component system (Pioneer) at 18 while in the Marine Corps and continued upgrading my home stereo systems until about 1992.
In the 90's I switched my interest mainly to car stereos and lost interest in home stereo gear mainly because I didnt care for the way any of it looked or sounded.
In 2004 that changed from a chance meeting I had with someone selling Vintage Speakers from the 70's. I went in that rabbit hole and never came out since.
After years of buying anything vintage 70's I could get my hands on, I learned how to restore the cabinets and cases in order to resell and move on to the more desirable and more expensive stuff that everyone including myself wanted. (JBL and Marnatz)
My focus now became getting my Beat up JBL L100's to look new again. After showing them off, other vintage gear owners started asking if I can restore thier stuff. So I started taking on weekend projects that turned into every night after work, "Work"
I did this for about 6-7 years and in 2020 because of the demand, I decided to create a full fledged woodworking shop and do this fulltime.
Although I work on many brands and models, I speacialize mainly in the original 1970's JBL L100 footprint.
My restorations have expanded from local Buyers, Collectors and Stereo Repair shops to many of the same types of people all over the country.
Speaker Cabinet Restorations was only the beginning, I've since expanded into Making Brend new L100 Replica Cabinets, Custom Speaker Stands, Media Consoles, Receiver and Amp Cases as well as Crossover Recaps.
